Patrick Lombardi assists the firm’s clients before the courts and administrative authorities, mainly in matters of public and private construction law, real estate law, town and country planning law, debt collection and bankruptcy law, and contract law.
Patrick Lombardi obtained a Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Lausanne in 2013, accomplishing his third year of studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. He completed his Master’s studies at the Universities of Lausanne and Zurich, where he graduated in 2016. He was awarded the Faculty prize for his Master’s thesis entitled “La charge grevant la fondation”.
He then worked as a graduate assistant to Prof. Philippe Meier at the University of Lausanne’s Faculty of Law, Criminal Sciences and Public Administration. This experience enabled him to perfect his knowledge of civil law and debt collection law in general, with a particular focus on rights of lien and mortgages. He wrote his doctoral thesis entitled “La gestion fiduciaire de cédules hypothécaires de registre” under the supervision of Prof. Denis Piotet. Published in 2022, his thesis was awarded the Edouard Fleuret Foundation prize and the UNINOT prize in 2023.
Before beginning his legal traineeship with a Lausanne law firm in 2021, Patrick Lombardi worked as an ad hoc clerk at the Justice de paix du district de la Riviera-Pays-d’Enhaut, handling cases relating to compulsory execution and adult protection.
After passing his bar exam, he joined CBWM Avocats in April 2024 as an associate.
